A Men’s Guide to Great Relationships: New Book Outlines Actions Men Can Take to Make Women Happy
PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill., June 2 /PRNewswire/ — About 60 percent of all marriages that eventually end in divorce do so within the first 10 years (New York Times, April 19, 2005). Author F.G. Walters believes that in many cases, the men are the ones missing the mark. He interviewed more than 1,000 men and women across America to gain insight on the disconnect between the sexes and offer solutions to male readers. The results are revealed in his new book, “How to Keep the Woman You Have: Men, We Are Missing the Mark!” (published by AuthorHouse).
“Men, what it took to get our women is the least it will take to keep them!” Walters writes. “In order to keep them, we must learn to do many things, but one is most important: communicate. This book tells readers why communication is a problem in relationships and identifies the necessary steps to rectify this. How we look at relationships and identify the tools needed to make it better is discussed.”
“How to Keep the Woman You Have” first encourages men to listen to themselves. Then, it challenges them to pay attention to the differences in communication and work to improve the connection, both verbally and through actions. In short, strengthen communication skills and discover that many aspects of the relationship will improve.
Relationships are Influenced by Past Generations…
Walters goes beyond what he learned on the streets from thousands of conversations with real Americans; he delves into past generations searching for clues to the behavior of modern men. The relationships fathers and grandfathers experienced with women, he explains, have a significant impact on how today’s generation interacts with the opposite sex. In addition, men’s attitudes toward themselves, gained from interactions with their elders, are reflected in how they treat the women in their lives.
In addition, Walters weaves a strong spiritual component into the book. “A relationship with God opens the door for a more enlightened understanding of our relationships with our women,” he writes.
A combination of compelling anecdotal research, self-exploration and thoughtful examination of issues seemingly specific to men, “How to Keep the Woman You Have” invites men to reflect on their roles in relationships and consider edging outside traditional comfort zones to meet women on a more loving and compassionate ground. “This will be uncharted areas for most of us,” Walters writes. “Enjoy the journey!”
About the Author: F.G. Walters was born the fifth child of seven in Neptune, N.J. After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force, where his career spanned over 24 years.
